Indianapolis Sexual Abuse Attorneys
Video Transcript | Greg Laker: We understand how sexual trauma causes physical changes to the brain. We have trained all of our staff so that they can better understand and empathize with our emotionally fragile clients.
Sarah Hurley: Establishing safety and rapport is vital with these victims. You have to do that, really, immediately so that the victim can feel comfortable with pursuing their perpetrator and with choosing the firm or the partner with whom they work to represent them and advocate on their behalf.
Going through this training helps to establish practical tools to be able to build that trust immediately.
Greg: We understand how brave our clients have to be to come forward and to tell their horrific stories.
Sarah: Cohen & Malad really took the initiative to care well for their clients and to want to not only pursue justice through remuneration but also just supporting the health and overall well‑being of their clients.
I think that they’re a leader in this field. I would absolutely love to see more firms within the legal field step up to the plate. Not just do this because it’s the right thing to do, but because in doing so, it actually sets firms up to be more successful in the cases they pursue and in the clients they represent.
Greg: We strive to make our clients feel safe and respected. If we’ve done our job right, at the end of the case, our clients will feel like they’ve been made a part of the Cohen & Malad family.
