Negligent Wound Care Treatment

Indiana Wound Care Medical Malpractice Attorneys

Our medical malpractice attorneys are investigating claims from patients of Dr. Michael S. Miller alleging the doctor failed to administer proper medical care which not only put the health of patients at risk but in one instance, led to a patient developing infection, gangrene, and sepsis which ultimately contributed to his death. A medical review panel reviewing this case not only found for Plaintiff, but also referred Dr. Miller to the Indiana Medical Board for review of his fitness to practice medicine.  Dr. Michael S. Miller is a doctor of osteopathic medicine and practices at Miller Care Group in Avon, Indiana which provides patients with services related to wound care, mental health, pain management and addiction recovery.

Prior to starting Miller Care Group in 2016, Dr. Michael S. Miller was previously licensed in Illinois. Per court documents, his Illinois medical license was placed on probation for “demonstrating a pattern of incompetency” and was placed on further probation for “alleged gross negligence…by failing to recognize and appropriately respond to post-operative complications.” Following these actions his Illinois medical license expired and was not renewed.
