Cohen & Malad Attorneys Attend International Law Firm Association Meeting

On May 9 and 10, Cohen & Malad Attorneys Arend Abel and Michael Blinn attended the semi-annual meeting of Legal Netlink Alliance, an international network of independent law firms, in Chicago, Illinois. The Agenda for the meeting included presentations on the “Top 10 Financial Mistakes” for law firms to avoid and a panel discussion on the effects of the Affordable Care Act (sometimes called Obamacare) on law firms and their clients.

Cohen & Malad has been a member of Legal Netlink Alliance since 2003, and over that time has been able to bring the resources of the network to bear on behalf of its clients. “The great thing about Legal Netlink,” said Abel, “is that if we have a client with a legal need elsewhere in the country, or even in the world, we know good lawyers whom we can trust to take care of the client’s needs.”  Abel added that he has been able to use the network to help clients with issues in New York, Florida, California, and a number of other locations. “Conversely,” Abel said, “we have been able to help lawyers with clients from a number of jurisdictions around the United States, and even as far away as England.

Legal Netlink Alliance has members in thirty-eight states and forty other countries.
