Emtiaz Facing Multiple Charges
Emtiaz is a former Indiana teacher, and extracurricular choir and theater coach. The 28 year old has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies related to child exploitation, some of which involved his students at Avon schools, including:
- Vicarious Sexual Gratification
- Child Solicitation
- Possession of Child Pornography
The criminal investigation into claims about Emtiaz allegedly revealed a number of disturbing actions:
- Exploitation Through Social Media: Emtiaz used Snapchat accounts to share explicit videos, solicit underage girls and receive illicit content.
- Classroom Exploitation: Evidence includes videos recorded in a school classroom that were distributed to minors.
- Admission of Guilt: Emtiaz admitted to police that he saved explicit videos of underage girls and fantasized about his students.
The investigation identified Emtiaz as a dangerous predator who used his position of trust as a teacher and mentor to exploit minors. Despite his denial of specific memories, forensic evidence corroborated his involvement.
Avon Schools terminated Emtiaz’s extracurricular employment immediately upon learning of the allegations and revoked his access to school facilities. According to employment records, Emtiaz had worked at multiple Avon schools over a three year period, including White Oak Elementary, Avon Intermediate School West, Avon Middle School North and possibly others.
