Gabriel A. Hawkins Named Partner at CohenMalad, LLP
CohenMalad, LLP has named Gabriel A. Hawkins as a partner. Hawkins earned his law degree in 2002 from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, cum laude, and was a law clerk for the Honorable Paul Mathias with the Indiana Court of Appeals. His practice is centered on plaintiff class action and mass tort litigation. Recent cases include Bixby v. KBR, Inc., Weinberger, et al v. Boyer, and Weinberger, et al v. Gill. The Bixby case involved KBR’s knowing exposure of American soldiers to the deadly carcinogen sodium dichromate. The two Weinberger cases involved a sinus surgeon who performed unnecessary surgeries on patients and then abandoned them in an attempt to avoid liability.
Hawkins has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer Rising Star by Thomson Reuters each year since 2010. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice.
