Excellus and Lifetime Healthcare Companies Face Lawsuit Over Data Breach
CohenMalad, LLP filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of all consumers impacted by the Excellus and Lifetime Healthcare Companies data breach. Excellus and Lifetime announced that they, along with Lifetime Benefit Solutions, Lifetime Care, Lifetime Health Medical Group, The MedAmerica Companies, and Univera Healthcare, had databases that contained personal information of approximately 10.5 million customers hacked. The lawsuit alleges that these Defendants failed to safeguard sensitive personal information and seeks to recover damages. Hackers were able to access client names, dates of birth, social security numbers, mailing addresses, phone numbers, member identification numbers, financial account information, claim information, and in some instances clinical information.
