Dr. Kink Asks Court Records Be Sealed In Sexual Assault Lawsuit
Dr. Shaun Kink is currently facing criminal charges of sexual assault and abuse of a person with a physical disability. The charges come after a patient accused Kink of repeatedly abusing her in her hospital room during her rehabilitation from surgery. Media reports indicate that Kink has requested the court seal documents related to testimony of other potential victims which may come up at trial.
In addition to the criminal charges, CohenMalad, LLP filed a civil complaint on behalf of Jane Doe that alleges both Advocate BroMenn (now Carle BroMenn) and McLean County Orthopedics failed to adequately protect Jane Doe from exploitation, neglect, and abuse while she was a patient at the hospital and clinic.
