Nicole Makris Named Partner At Cohen & Malad, LLP
Cohen & Malad, LLP is pleased to announce attorney Nicole Makris has been named partner. Nicole focuses her practice on family law matters. She represents clients in dissolutions of marriage, paternity actions, custody and child support modifications, guardianships, adoptions, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements. Nicole is also a trained Guardian ad Litem. She appears in courts throughout Indiana including Marion, Hamilton, Johnson, Hancock, Hendricks, Morgan, Tippecanoe and Shelby counties.
Nicole served as a board member for the Central Indiana Regional Board of the American Cancer Society and is actively involved in the Indianapolis Bar Association. Nicole was a recipient of the Leadership in Law “Up & Coming Lawyer” award in 2020 from the Indiana Lawyer and she is a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. She has written six articles for the Indiana Lawyer newspaper and was a panelist for a continuing education workshop for behavioral health professionals in 2019. Nicole is a graduate of Indiana University and earned her law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
