Irwin B. Levin Named the Best Lawyers® 2019 Indianapolis Class Action – Plaintiffs “Lawyer of the Year”
Cohen & Malad, LLP is pleased to announce Irwin B. Levin has been recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2019 Indianapolis Class Action – Plaintiffs “Lawyer of the Year”. This is the second time Mr. Levin was awarded this honor. He was also recognized for the same distinction in 2016.
Mr. Levin served as Co-Lead Counsel in antitrust litigation against the concrete industry in central Indiana as well as the state of Iowa. He brought a class action against the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles for overcharging Indiana residents for driver’s licenses and other fees resulting in nearly $100 million in fee refunds for Hoosier drivers. Mr. Levin was also one of ten lawyers from around the nation appointed to an executive committee that managed the historic litigation against Swiss banks on behalf of Holocaust survivors in the late 1990s.
