Indianapolis Apartment Complex Faces Lawsuit After Girl Loses Leg to Flesh Eating Bacteria

Indianapolis Child Injury Lawyers

Cohen & Malad, LLP filed a lawsuit against a south-side Indianapolis apartment complex on behalf of a 5-year old girl who was seriously injured. The girl’s leg was amputated after doctors performed several surgeries in an attempt to stop an infection of flesh eating bacteria she allegedly contracted via playground outside of her apartment.  The lawsuit claims the apartment complex failed to remove raw sewage present on the property which ultimately caused the infection that nearly claimed the girl’s life.

Partner Dan Chamberlain is representing this girl and her family in the lawsuit. Chamberlain said, “This girl’s life will be forever impacted by the apartment complex’s negligence and its failure to provide residents a safe place to live. She’s lucky to even be alive.”

Cohen & Malad, LLP personal injury attorneys have represented hundreds of victims in personal injury lawsuits all across Indiana. If you or a loved one have suffered a serious personal injury, contact us to discuss how we can help you.
