Cohen & Malad, LLP Participates in Indianapolis Bar Association “Law Day” with IPS
Cohen & Malad, LLP attorneys participated in the Indianapolis Bar Association Law Day and hosted an IPS student from Shortridge High School, a magnet school for law and public policy. The day began with a tour of the office. Our student guest was introduced to attorneys who work in all practice areas of the firm including class action, personal injury, business litigation, family law, and medical malpractice. Our guest was then able to spend one-on-one time with attorneys from two of our practice groups to learn more about what an average day is like for a litigator. She also spent time with the marketing department and learned about how the firm gets business through advertising, public relations, and referral networks.
“Law Day visits are a great way for attorneys to reach out to the community and give students a glimpse of what it’s like to practice law. I really enjoyed getting to know the student who visited the firm and answering her questions about a career in law,” said Kelley Johnson, partner at Cohen & Malad, LLP and president of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation.
Approximately 20 students from Shortridge High School participated in Law Day this year and were hosted by attorneys and judges who are members of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
