Cohen & Malad, LLP Files Class Action Lawsuit on Behalf of Truckers

Cohen & Malad, LLP filed a nationwide class action against Trailer Transit, Inc., to recover payments owed to hundreds of owner/operator truck drivers across the country. Trailer Transit’s form contracts require it to pay the truckers 71% of revenues generated from the drivers’ trucking services. The class action complaint alleges that Trailer Transit systematically failed to pay the truckers the 71% they were owed and instead kept 100% of revenues from various add-on fees for itself. The lawsuit, filed by Hubert “Gene” Walker, identified an example where more than a thousand dollars of add-on charges were kept by Trailer Transit on a single delivery when 71% of the charges should have gone to the trucker who made the delivery. The suit seeks to recover all of the payments owed to all truckers under their contracts with Trailer Transit.
