Drugmaker Sanofi recalled several formulas of over-the-counter heartburn medication Zantac (ranitidine) over findings of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) contained in some of its ranitidine medicines including Zantac 150, Zantac 150 Cool Mint and Zantac 75. FDA states that NDMA is a probable human carcinogen.
