Former Fifth Third Bank Employees Leak Sensitive Customer Information in Data Breach

By Cohen & Malad, LLP

A “small number” of former Fifth Third Bank employees are being investigated by law enforcement and the bank for sharing customer information with people outside of the bank according to media reports. The bank stated an active investigation is underway and sent a notice to customers it believes were impacted. Information including names, addresses, phone numbers, mother’s maiden names, account number, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license information was all believed to be stolen and used dating as far back as 2018.

If you or someone you know is a Fifth Third Bank customer, contact us. Our class action attorneys have represented thousands of people in data breach lawsuits and can advise you of your legal rights and options.
