Camp Lejeune Claims Move Forward After PACT Act Signed Into Law

By Cohen & Malad, LLP

Camp Lejeune veterans and their families are one step closer to justice after President Joe Biden signed the PACT Act into law on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. The PACT Act allows military personnel and their families who suffered serious injuries from exposure to contaminated water at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to bring legal claims for compensation. Toxic chemicals linked to several types of cancers, blood disorders and female infertility were found in two on-base wells at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987.

Camp Lejeune case evaluation

If you lived at Camp Lejeune for more than 30 days, you may be at a high risk for serious illness. Some people who were exposed to the contaminated water on the military base have been diagnosed with:

  • Lung cancer
  • Brain cancer
  • Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
  • Multiple myeloma
  • Leukemia
  • Neurological disorders
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Female infertility problems
  • Miscarriage
  • Birth defects
  • Early infant death

We offer free case evaluations and represent clients on a contingency basis which means you pay no money up-front, our fees are paid out of any settlement or verdict we secure for you. Don’t wait to file your claim. We are here to give Power To Your Voice.
