American Medical Collection Agency, Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp Face Lawsuit After Data Breach Exposes Nearly 20 Million Customers to Identity Theft and Fraud
Cohen & Malad, LLP attorneys have filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of nearly 20 million people whose personal identifying information was compromised after cyber thieves accessed data from third-party billing collections firm American Medical Collection Agency (AMCA). Both LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics use the third-party billing company to collect payments from patients. The companies stated that data breach exposed information including patient name, data of birth, address, medical information, Social Security number, and financial information such as bank account or credit card numbers.
